Great device. Very beautiful. I installed a different OS on it (MinUI) and I’m quite happy with it. The screen is beautiful, but it doesn’t get super dim when you lower the brightness. Overall, it feels great in the hand (medium-sized hands). I don’t like the shoulder buttons because they squeak. The plastic D-pad isn’t as smooth as I’d like, and the engraved logo in the middle can feel rough after long gaming sessions. Overall, though, it’s great for short to medium-length gaming sessions.

Fantastic little retro emulation device. My current favorite for the PICO-8 as well. Best with MinUI, looking forward to using SpruceOS in the near future. The D-pad can be a little tiring for directional-heavy games (like fighting games or some arcade games), but it’s still pretty good. Shipping was fast to mainland Australia, just under two weeks (about 12 days).

It arrived surprisingly fast! My only regret is not getting the translucent shoulder buttons. I love the console; it fits in my carrying case, and the battery lasts through my work breaks and train commute home. 9/10—the only reason it’s not a 10/10 is that it sometimes has power-on issues.

The red one is a bit darker in person. Use Chapstick for scale. I have the white one for myself, and the other two as gifts. Running Minui frontend and loving these little devices! I have other handheld devices, but something about the brick is just charming, and the build quality is solid. See the comments about the backplate getting too hot if you run demanding games on it.

I bought the TRIMUI SMARTPRO a few months ago. Its low price and exquisite craftsmanship drew me to this brand. At the same time, I saw many review videos of the TRIMUI BRICK online, which made me eagerly anticipate it. Finally, after the TRIMUI BRICK was released, I immediately bought it. There’s no doubt that this is another masterpiece from TRIMUI! The metal backplate feels great, and it comes with two sets of replaceable keys (one set depends on the color of the game console you bought, and one set is transparent). The style of the transparent keys looks good, but I plan to replace them after using it for a while. Also, regarding the game console’s performance and the simulator’s adaptability, I plan to evaluate it after a full trial, but for now, there’s no doubt that this is the best handheld game console of the year!
