I’m super happy with the purchase! It runs PS1 and PSP games beautifully, unlike inferior ones, so I can’t even speak clearly. This white version is simply gorgeous! It’s a shame there isn’t a version with a Micro SD card larger than 128GB, even though it came with a ton of games. I’ve added many more, and the 128GB card hasn’t arrived yet.

It arrived in about 9 days in NSW, Australia, which I’m quite happy with. I was a little worried about the delivery company used in Australia since I’d heard some less favorable things about them, so I’m relieved to have had a smooth experience (maybe I was just lucky to know who knows). I got the green version (which apparently is the latest revision?) without an expansion card and flashed Rocknix OS onto a newer/more reliable SD card. I recommend using the Retro Game Corps Getting Started Guide to set up the device. For systems like the N64, PSP, and Dreamcast, you’re not going to get super high resolution at 60fps, but they’re all very playable with some tweaking. If you’re willing to tweak and tinker with the device for extra performance and fine-tune things to your liking, then I can highly recommend the X55. Great value!

I found this workhorse, and it has a great 5.5-inch HD screen with a Rockchip RK3566. We upgraded to Rocknix. I have a Steamdeck and bought this to complement it. When I like to play older games, the X55 is lighter and smaller. It works well for under 100 Canadian dollars. I’m happy with my purchase.

The item shipped quickly (arrived a week early). It was packaged so securely that even the corners of the box were intact. The Powkiddy X55 is probably the best retro console under $75. It has a massive screen, good battery life, HDMI output, fast Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and two SD card slots (ideal for when you want to keep your games separate from the system in case you want to experiment with different operating systems without the risk of wiping your game data). It plays all 8-bit and 16-bit systems smoothly, even with shaders. It can play PS1 games upscaled at 2x. It can play any Nintendo DS game (you’ll use the second analog stick as a stylus for the touch function because the Powkiddy X55 doesn’t have a touchscreen). Light N64, PSP, and Dreamcast games will also run, even upscaled. But more complex games like GoldenEye 007 on N64 or God of War on PSP will run poorly, even with significant frame skipping. Don’t even try 3DS, PS2, or GameCube/Wii. They won’t run at all.
